About the Event

As we move towards the end of 2020, and the rest of the winter holiday season, there is much to move through and release before we begin anew. 

Join this beautiful sacred circle as we honor our bodies with a slow flow yoga practice designed and intended to help us release toxins in the form of physical, mental, emotional and energetic pieces that are not serving us and are taking up space within our beings. This practice is a little quicker than a restorative flow, and is still very gentle, yet  stimulating to the body. As we move, we will bring awareness to the sacral area of the body, below the belly button where the low back meets the top of the basin (the pelvis). 

As we move into our healing circle and time to share within loving community, we will bring our attention to the ways and patterns we use to cope with life and stress. What are our "go-to" strategies? How do we survive the things that activate a high amount of stress or anxiety? What do we move towards, or away from both externally and interallly? 

Within the sacral area of the body lives the primal tendency to tuck the tail and clench the lower exitways of the body, and we will explore the scenarios and circumstances that make us feel like we are in "survival mode". Especially with the holidays activating family time, and the interaction with our first families, we will take the time to explore the non-peaceful aspects of how we are relating to ourselves and others, including substances and materials. Many times, we can observe this in the ways we work (or do not work) with boundaries and the assertion of them, as much of our sacral energy is activated when we feel compromised due to a violation, threat, breaking of, or lack of boundaries. We will explore what boundaries are, what it means to create them for ourselves and our lives, and how they work energetically to protect our alignment, iin all ways, including physically and emotionally, 

You can think of this as a cleansing detox for the psyche and the sacrum. It will be healing and restorative, and it will leave you with a greater awareness of your own power to reclaim yourself from old strategies and habits. 

We will transmute the shadow energies of the sacral area into joy, gratitude and peace. A'ho! 

For this circle, please bring: 

  • A yoga mat or a soft surface to practice on 
  • A journal 
  • Tea, something warm to drink 
  • A glass of water 
  • Candles, crystals, essenital oils, and other items that create an ambience of comfort 

Please dress comfortably in clothes that will allow you to move and be comfortable in a seated position.
