About the Event

Join Aga Chojan, restorative yoga teacher, and Kristi Derkacy, Original Medicine Healer +Co-Creator of Resonance Restorative, for a slow-flow into deep connection with root energy. We will explore our bodies as vessels for our experiences + we will re-member how to connect with our sacred need for safety and belonging  in the presence of our Selves and within a tribe of loving others.


Nourish yourself with a guided meditation focused on grounding the Self into the present moment. Followed by a restorative yoga flow, the sympathetic nervous system will slow down and ease its storm. By integrating body awareness and somatic practices, you will explore the relationship between the mind and body. How does the state of your mind affect your body? What true emotions and needs are swimming deep below the surface that are asking to be brought to light? Using the innate wisdom deep within, you will focus on bridging the connection with mind, body and spirit.


The second part of our healing circle will take us within and without to the sacred connectedness of being present with ourselves and others as we share and witness feelings, emotions, expereinces and truths that affirm us as humans re-membering their divine nature. We will work with root energy to explore what makes us feel safe, and unsafe, in and outside of our bodies, and explore ourselves through our own sharing and that of others to re-connect to our wise woman within, who always offers us safety and strength within our own state of Being. 

Join us to re-member yourSelf back home to your body and be in community with loving, open-hearted others. Come as you are, all of you is welcome, there is space for everything you bring. A'ho 


  • Dress for comfort; the slow flow in the beginning will take us through a series of gentle yoga postures, into the breath, and land us back into our bodies, so wear clothing that invites movement and spaciousness 
  • Bring a journal to work with thoughts, feelings and experiences as they arise 
  • Set up your space in a way that is sacred to you. Candles, incense, stones and crystals, flowers, a mug of tea are all welcomed and encouraged! 


Aga is a local Chicago yoga teacher and aspiring bodyworker. With compassion, deeply seeded wisdom and presence, she offers a safe space for students to explore the connection between their minds and bodies. Through somatic practices and body awareness techniques, Aga empowers her students to own their experience and take control of their emotional well-being. With her guidance, learn to invite more love, trust and joy into life.
